New base at city’s airport The Valencia Half Marathon begins a new chapter in its 35-year history as it becomes the Valencia Half Marathon Trinidad Alfonso Wizz Air. The airline will be the new main sponsor of Spain’s best half marathon and one of the fastest in the world where it will share the title name with the Fundación Trinidad Alfonso. Wizz Air has chosen Valencia to debut its race sponsorship in Spain, not only because of the event’s reputation, but also because it will establish a permanent base at the city’s airport starting in December.
